Some of the daemons that come standard in today's Linux distributions are actually full-fledged applications with a fairly complex set of configuration files.Unlike simple Telnet and FTP daemons,web,mail,and file servers use complex protocols.To protect these services,network administrators must deploy a security defense particular to each protocol.
